How does the Loc8tor Pet GPS ‘Pay As You Go’ work?
Most GPS devices available today make it a pre-condition that customers sign up to a 12 or 24 month contract which is automatically paid by direct debit. At Loc8tor we have designed our service so that no monthly contracts need to be entered into. When buying or once delivered simply select the amount of 'Locate' and 'SMS' credits you need and we will add it to your account. Each time your device reports its location it will use up one credit – What’s so great is that you decide how frequently it reports and as your device is intelligent it will not report when you’re indoors or when the device has not moved from its last reported position.
Want almost real-time tracking? You can get your device to report every 5 seconds whilst moving – This would then use up 12 credits every 1 minute. Only want to track every 30 minutes – This would then use up 2 credits every hour. See our locate chart for an indication of the locates used on each setting. You can chose to top-up occasionally or buy in bulk to save even more money.
SMS credits work on the same principle and every time you use ‘one’ is deducted from your total. Credits are shown on the left hand side of our tracking panel once you’ve logged in so you can see exactly what you’ve got. Use SMS credits to change reporting frequency, receive low battery alerts, get the location sent to your cell phone and to send out a panic alarm. You can set up as many numbers as you want to receive i.e. boundary or panic alerts.
